In large measure owing to investments in nuclear generation, MEAG Power’s clean energy portfolio has delivered more than 50% emissions-free, reliable wholesale power since 2008. Its diverse, clean energy portfolio – delivering, on average, 66% emissions-free energy from 2018-2022 – compares favorably with both the state and national averages. In addition to ownership in nuclear units Plant Hatch 1 & 2 and Plant Vogtle 1 & 2, MEAG Power owns 22.7% of Vogtle Units 3 & 4, expected to become operational in 2023 and 2024.

Plant Hatch Units 1&2

Units 1&2 were operational as of 1975 and 1979, respectively. In 2002 the licenses were extended to 2034 and 2038, respectively.

Plant Vogtle Units 1&2

These units were operational as of 1987 and 1989, respectively. In 2009 the licenses were extended to 2047 and 2049, respectively.
