The expansion at Plant Vogtle, adding Units 3 and 4, is a 95-month undertaking with the units' completions expected in 2016 and 2017, respectively. These units will most likely be the first new nuclear generating units in nearly 30 years and will be the first installation of, and the reference license for, the Westinghouse AP1000 unit. Plant Vogtle's expansion will also involve some first-of-its kind financing options.

MEAG Power owns 22.7% or approximately 500 MW.
